There are twenty-nine seniors graduating this year, taking the education they’ve earned in WaKeeney and applying it to the challenges they will face at colleges and universities across the nation, as well as on the job as they go out into the workforce.

The Class of 2016 has certainly been a great addition to our community, through their sports, artistic, and academic competitions, their volunteer projects, and the hard work they’ve performed at their after school and summer jobs. And, now it’s time to wish them all well as they set out on a new course of their own design to achieve their life’s goals.

Join us in the TCHS gymnasium this Sunday, May 8th at 2:30pm to celebrate the Class of 2016 and cheer them on as they head off to the next chapter of their lives. The USD208 school board will host the ceremony and the seniors have chosen James Berg, the high school science teacher, as this year’s commencement speaker. It’s the perfect way to celebrate the wonderful young people of Trego County who have played such an important role in our community.
