Get your baskets ready, kids, and hippity, hop on down to the Trego County Courthouse Square on Saturday, March 26th at 10:30am for WaKeeney’s Annual Easter Egg Hunt!
The Easter Bunny has been busy creating those beautiful sweets to hide in the grass, under bushes, and at the base of the trees in our beautiful park. Many of our townspeople have been recruited by Mr. Bunny to help him place the eggs in spots that are hidden but still easy enough for even the littlest hunters to find, so everyone has a chance to come away with a basket filled with goodies.
All children from 6 months to 5th Grade are welcome at the Easter Egg Hunt, where groups divided by age will line up and wait for the word to go in search of the Easter Bunny’s treasure. There will be plenty of plastic eggs filled with treats, and every year the children of WaKeeney love to race to find as many sweets as they can.
After the hunt make plans to stay awhile and enjoy beautiful downtown WaKeeney. Many of the shops will be open on Saturday morning and you can stock up on food and decor for your Easter Day celebration on Sunday. The weatherman is predicting a beautiful Spring day with temperatures in the 70s on Saturday, so why not pick up some picnic items to enjoy in the park after the event?
Get ready, set, go! To the WaKeeney Easter Egg Hunt at the Trego County Courthouse Square on Saturday, March 26th!
