Practice makes perfect, and the songbirds of the Trego Community High School Choir have been doing just that in preparation of the 2016 Trego Show!
The Trego Show is an annual event that has become a highlight of Spring for WaKeeney. As a showcase for the young performers of our community, it has provided great performances for their audiences over the years and prepared many of the performers we’ve seen carry on with their musical pursuits, carving out careers in music that allows others to enjoy the talent first forged on the TCHS stage.
This year the talented singers of TCHS will be ushering in the Spring with solos, duets, small ensembles, and the entire choir. Kathy Jamison, the TCHS Choir Director, has kept them on track to give us a great show with a collection of popular songs chosen by the students. The audience can look forward to the Girls Ensemble will performing “Say Something,” and the “Dark Side” performed by the Trego Singers. The Trego Show will come to a close with the entire choir taking the stage to sing a medley of songs called “We Are Young.”
This annual show is a chance for the TCHS Choir to entertain us with songs selected, practiced, and performed by them for your enjoyment. Join them this Tuesday, March 8th at 7:00pm to hear the TCHS Choir share their musical talents in the “Trego Show.” It’s free to the public and a great evening out with Trego County’s next generation.
