The fun of musical theater is back in WaKeeney, with a play that will have us laughing right along with Robin Hood’s band of Merry Men!
For this year’s annual musical, “Robin Hood: Tales of Ye Merry Woode,” we follow that scoundrel, Prince John, as he plans to catch the medieval defender of the poor, Robin Hood. Along with his evil sister, Lady Kate, they devise a plan to force Maid Marian to wed the Prince, with the expectation that Robin Hood and his merry troupe will arrive on the scene to save her. Mistaken identities, swordplay and hilarity ensue, bringing fun and excitement to the TCHS stage.
Each year the TCHS choir puts on amazing stage productions, with our most talented performers singing, dancing and acting out the parts of our favorite characters. Through the years they’ve featured an amazing array of famous productions, like the Sound of Music and the King and I, as well as lesser-known but wonderful shows like this year’s selection, where they’re sure to turn out a night of great singing, dancing, and acting.
This year join the young men and women of the Trego Community High School Choir as they take us all on a trip to Sherwood Forest! The curtains rise at 7:30pm on Friday, November 13 and Saturday, November 14, and tickets are $5 for adults and $4 for students. Get there early because our students are known for their great talents and there is sure to be a packed house!
