Shiloh Vineyards Welcomes You to Their Open House

Harvest is over and it’s time to celebrate another successful year at Shiloh Vineyards!

Kirk and Treva Johnston are throwing open the doors of their vineyard on Saturday, October 10th for a party that will ring in a new vintage and celebrate the many wonderful things happening at Shiloh Vineyard. Come out and spend the day tasting different wines and learning all the secrets of pairing your favorite vintage with just the right meal. There’s no doubt you’ll walk away eager to share your favorites with friends.

There’ll be wine tastings throughout the day and special pairings with cheeses from Wiebe Dairy of Durham, Kansas. Music from Hays band, The Generation, and concert pianist, Brice Hackler will keep us entertained. Kathy Schneider and Lynelle Shubert will be reading selected works that reflect farm life and the people who work the land. A food vendor will also be on-site with brats and burgers and the whole vineyard will be open to explore. Just walking through the gates will give you the chance to be a winner of several wine and cheese gift baskets, or maybe even a dinner in their beautifully renovated dining room that used to be a barn. And, selfies are encouraged!

The festivities begin at noon and bring your lawn chairs because the Johnstons are planning a all-day event. When the evening draws near you’ll want to pull up a seat for one of the best shows you’ll see in Trego County; a beautiful Western Kansas sunset. With so many great things happening at Shiloh Vineyard you and your family will enjoy a day of fun and friends until the stars shine bright overhead!
